Where Does Jeff Brohm Rank among ACC Coaches In October Games?
Fact Checked by Nate Hamilton

Jeff Brohm has gotten off to a solid start in his tenure at Louisville this season. The former Purdue coach, who returned to his alma mater last December, has led the Cardinals to a 4-0 start this season. While there have been a couple of close calls, it still represents the best start for a UofL team since 2016.

Louisville fans also got to see what they anticipated from the former star quarterback turned coach in Saturday’s 56-28 drubbing of Boston College. The Cards needed just 62 plays to rack up 585 yards, and nine plays went for at least 27 yards – including seven passes from Jack Plummer. Something bettors will love to see going forward as they participate in Kentucky sports betting. But Brohm and the Cardinals know their biggest tests lie ahead, including a three-game gauntlet in October.

Louisville's Jeff Brohm in Top 3

Louisville’s first game in October may very well be its biggest of the season. On Oct. 7, the Cardinals, who are lurking just outside of the Associated Press Top 25 poll, will host Notre Dame, which is currently ranked No. 11 in the writers’ poll. A week later, the Cards travel to Pittsburgh. Louisville beat the Panthers at home last season but hasn’t won at Pitt since 2012. After an off week, the Cardinals end the month hosting a Duke team that’s already beaten Clemson and has chances to notch wins over Notre Dame and Florida State ahead of their matchup.

However, before Louisville enters October, a game this Friday at N.C. State awaits. The Cardinals are a three-point favorite on the road, according to BetMGM. Cards fans will not need to cross the bridge to bet on the game as retail sportsbooks are currently open across the state, and Kentucky online sports betting launches on Thursday.
